On Saturday, the NDP declared dates and rules for the party’s leadership race to substitute Gary Burrill.
A press release from the party stated voting would begin on June 20 and conclude on June 25.
Burrill declared in November that he would be stepping down from the party’s leadership but would resume on as MLA for Halifax Chebucto.

Dartmouth South MLA Claudia Chender is the only individual thus far to describe an interest in a leadership offer but has not declared she will join the race.
Liberals to have convention July 9
The Liberals will have a leadership convention on July 9 to substitute Iain Rankin.
The party published a press release Sunday after a local board meeting.
Joseph Khoury, the party president, stated that although this will be the party’s second leadership ethnicity in numerous years, he and the membership are not living in the past.
