Police arrest three people after weapons complaint in Dartmouth

Three people were arrested after a witness said they spotted a person with a handgun damaging a vehicle in Dartmouth Sunday afternoon. 

Halifax Regional Police said they responded to a weapons complaint in the 0-50 block of Medway Court in Dartmouth after a caller observed a person with a handgun damaging a vehicle and then go inside a nearby residence. 

“Patrol officers quickly secured the residence and arrested the three adults, two males and one female without incident,” police said in a news release. “No one was injured during this incident.”

Police said they are not looking for other suspects. 

The residence has since been secured while a search warrant is obtained.
