Remembrance Day ceremonies in N.S.

This year, many Remembrance Day ceremonies in the Halifax area will be held in person, but COVID-19 regulations and limits will be in place.

Due to crowds and procession routes, Expecting heavy crowds, which can cause street closures at some places. In addition, Halifax Transit will work on a holiday schedule, and all veterans and military personnel, as well as their attending family members, will be ready to ride that day.

“Veterans and military personnel wishing to enjoy the free transit service on Thursday, Nov. 11 are required to be in uniform or display their military identification upon boarding,” the city advises.

The Royal Canadian Legion organizes ceremonies in general, and citizens can contact their local legion for information on local activities. To enter the venue, visitors must present proof of vaccination, and masks must be worn during the ceremony.

Bedford’s Fish Hatchery Park

The event will begin soon before 11 a.m. at the Bedford cenotaph in Fish Hatchery Park. The people are welcome to attend, but attendees must wear masks and keep a safe distance from the action. This year, however, there will be no wreath-laying by public members, nor will there be a march.

Lower Sackville’s Sackville Heritage Park. In the cenotaph area of Lower Sackville, the Remembrance Day event will be confined to guests. The people are welcome to attend. However, there will be no passage to the cenotaph.

According to the legion’s Facebook page, there will be no parade, and everyone is strongly encouraged to attend the service wearing a mask.

Remembrance day in Hlifax area going to be held. Everyone urge to follow covid guidlines. Veterans Affairs Canada has hired Nova Scotia Health to provide care at seven long-term care facilities for veterans. Private ceremonies honoring soldiers may be held while residents’ safety is ensured.
