Best charming places in Canada, where the mountains meet the sea. Along the way, you will pass through Cape Breton Highlands National Park, where lush, forested river canyons carve into the ancient plateau, framed by rust-colored cliffs.

Be on the lookout for moose and bald eagles. You might even see Minke whale or a pilot whale breaching the waves in the Atlantic or the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Also, you’re never far from a steaming plate of fresh-from-the-ocean local lobster.

According to Cpl, Parks Canada requested assistance from the Ingonish Beach RCMP around 2 p.m. to rescue an injured hiker. Chris Marshall of the RCMP. According to Marshall, the woman was hiking alone on the trail at the time.

He claimed that an officer and Parks Canada employees used ATVs to reach the woman halfway up the trail. She was loaded onto a backboard also carried down to the ATVs by rescuers who hiked the remaining stretch of the rugged also steep trail. “They got most of the way up the trail on the ATVs I don’t think it was an hour or two hikes,” Marshall said Tuesday.

The hiker was then driven out on ATVs by rescuers to where paramedics took over her care. Marshall said he didn’t know the woman’s injuries, but she is expected to recover.

The Franey Trail is a 7.4-kilometer loop with steep and rugged sections that have earned it a “difficult” rating on the Parks Canada website. However, the trail, located 425 meters above the valley below Franey Mountain, provides scenic views of Clyburn Brook Canyon and the Atlantic coastline from Cape Smokey to Ingonish.
